Who am I

My name is Thibaud Decurnex, I am 27 years old and I am an elite triathlete. I come from the Nyon region, on the beautiful Geneva Lake shore.

I own a Bachelor degree in Sports Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Sport in Magglingen and a Master degree in Sport and Leisure Management at Université of Lausanne

I started triathlon at the age of 12. I have been a member of Swiss national triathlon team for several years and member of Tribuperfomance.

In recent years, despite the high level of the Swiss triathlon, I have achieved a first place in the Swiss team championships, several podiums in Olympic triathlons as well as a first place in the 10 kilometers of Lausanne in Junior.

I had the opportunity to participate in the university world championships in Kalmar, Sweden where I finish 31st.

I also achieved a top 10 in the European Cup in the Elite category, I participated in the European and World Championships in U23 as well as the Military Olympics where I place 32nd.

For the current year, I’m aiming for podiums in National League races (Swiss cups with very high level including athletes of international level) and several top 10 at the European cups.

My long-term goal is a qualification for the Olympic Games as well as participation in the WTS (World Triathlon Series), the highest category in triathlon, where the world elite is concentrated.
